Dual Fingerprint, Dual Sync Unlock.
Key features
- Fingerprint on both sides of the gate. A Sweden FPC sensor sits on the outdoor unit and another on the indoor unit, so you unlock by touch from either side. Up to 20 fingerprints can be registered.
- PIN codes, cards and a remote. Ten users get 6 to 12 digit PIN codes, plus a one-time PIN for visitors. Two RFID cards are included, up to 100 can be registered, and the remote control works from either side of the gate.
- Key, fingerprint and remote from inside. The indoor unit has its own fingerprint sensor, a thumbturn and a mechanical key cylinder, and it also answers the remote control. Two keys are provided.
- Dual Sync Unlock with a Kaadas door lock. Add the Dual Sync Unlock Module and one fingerprint, PIN or card unlocks the gate and the door together. The module pairs the R8GD with the K9-5W, L7 or R8 door lock.
- Automated lock body with auto re-lock. The automated deadbolt responds quickly when you unlock and locks again on its own once the gate closes. A switch behind the battery cover changes it to manual mode.
- Away mode, lockout and fake PIN. Away mode alarms if the gate is unlocked from inside while you are away. Five wrong attempts lock the keypad for 3 minutes, random digits can hide your real PIN, and dual verification asks for two credentials.
- AA batteries with USB-C backup. Four AA alkaline batteries run the lock. If they run flat, a 5 V power bank on the Type-C port under the outdoor unit wakes it long enough to get in. A voice guide covers five languages.

The Sweden FPC fingerprint sensor on the outdoor unit is matched by a second one on the indoor unit, so nobody fumbles for a key on the way out. Twenty fingerprints, ten PIN codes and a hundred RFID cards cover the whole household, and the remote control opens the gate from either side.
Locks itself behind you.
The automated lock body throws the deadbolt the moment the gate closes, and a switch inside the battery cover puts it in manual mode when you would rather lock it yourself. If the four AA batteries run down, a power bank on the USB-C port gets you in, and the mechanical key is always there as a fallback.
One touch, gate and door.
With the Dual Sync Unlock Module, a single fingerprint, PIN or card unlocks your gate and your door at the same time, so there is no stopping between the two with groceries in hand. The module pairs the R8GD with a Kaadas K9-5W, L7 or R8 door lock in the same ecosystem.
